The North Star Mining Museum
California Historic Landmark No. 843
Operated by the Nevada County Historical Society, the North Star Mining Museum is located in a historic stone building from 1895, once the powerhouse for the North Star Mine.
The North Star House (a 10,000 square-foot home designed in 1905 by the renowned architect Julia Morgan) is located on a portion of the 14-acre North Star Mine site. The North Star House is owned and operated by the North Star Historic Conservancy.
