The Animal Control Shelter serves as a safe place for animals who have been relinquished to our care, or who were not claimed during their stray holding period. We always have wonderful pets in need of loving permanent homes. We never have to euthanize animals for time or space. We pride ourselves in working with behaviorists, trainers, and specific breed rescues. Our primary goal is safety for our adopters, and our community.
If you are interested in adopting an animal, please visit the shelter and meet the animal that interests you. If you have another dog or have children in your home, we strongly suggest, and we may even require bringing them with you for a proper introduction. This is to ensure the animal you are interested in is the right fit for all involved.
If you have questions, we will provide all information available to us regarding the animal. Often times, if the animal was a stray, we have no information to offer except what we have observed in our care. If you are interested in adopting an animal you have met, you will need to fill out an Adoption Application.
All dogs and cats are vaccinated with age appropriate vaccinations. All animals are spayed/neutered before the animal is adopted and taken home. This is proven to be an effective way to reduce animal overpopulation. The cost of pet spaying and neutering is included in the adoption fee, along with the cost of the other animal health care measures.
