Training Center

Post

Behind station 2, and built in 2009, is the Public Safety Training Center which is used by many agencies within Nevada County for training purposes, by Sierra College for classes, and as a landing zone for helicopters. The training grounds have an underground water pump and reuse system built in to preserve water and allow crews to train year round. The grounds also have vertical ventilation props and live fire props for crews to practice fire ground skills. The cement pad is large enough to host driver/operator classes for new drivers and for Sierra College to use for their fire academies.
