The City Clerk is committed to providing professional service and support to the City Council, City Departments and citizens of Grass Valley through education, communication and modern technology.

Responsibilities of the City Clerk include providing assistance to and coordination of Council activities, including organization of City participation in community celebrations and ceremonies.The City Clerk attends City Council meetings, and prepares agendas for and minutes of those meetings, as well as maintaining all official City Resolutions, Ordinances, Miscellaneous Records and Claims Records of the City.The City Clerk also acts as Executive Assistant to the City Manager and acts as Secretary to the Grass Valley Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency. Other duties include coordination of Municipal Elections with the County of Nevada, maintenance of the Grass Valley Municipal Code, filing official for campaign and disclosure statements as required by the State of California, webpage management and provides notary services.
