A study that evaluates the market/fiscal/job-housing conditions for the City and Western Nevada County is anticipated to be presented to the City Council in the summer of 2005.
This study will assist Council in examining the future growth and land use mix of the community. Council has directed that any applications filed for these SDAs be deferred until the study is accepted as complete.
Also, the SDA Study will need to be completed and the preference for initiating any General Plan amendments resolved by Council prior to any of the SDA applications being formally considered. A brief status report on these applications is provided below:
