It is unlawful for any parent or guardian having legal custody or care of a minor to knowingly allow or permit such minor to violate the provisions of this chapter. Parents or guardians having failed to demonstrate a reasonable effort to modify such juvenile misbehavior shall be cited for a violation of California Penal Code Section 272, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and subject to the fine and/or imprisonment, or both fine and imprisonment, so provided therein.
