Section 8.36.080 City removal of nuisance.

    A.    The enforcement officer and his deputies, assistants, contracting agents and other representatives are expressly authorized to enter upon private property for the purpose of abatement of nuisances or causing nuisances to be abated pursuant to this chapter by having weeds or waste destroyed or removed by cutting, disking, chemical spraying or such other method as may be determined by the city council. Any property owner shall have the right to destroy or remove such weeds or waste himself, or have the same destroyed or removed at his own expense; provided, that such weeds or waste shall have been removed prior to the arrival of the enforcement officer or his authorized representatives to destroy or remove them.
    B.    No person shall refuse to allow the enforcement officer or his deputies, assistants, contracting agents, or other representatives from entering upon any premises at any time during the hours of daylight for the purpose of abatement of any nuisance pursuant to this chapter.
