Section 8.28.130 Sound amplifying equipment.

    The use of sound amplifying equipment is subject to the following:
    A.    The only sounds permitted are music, human speech, or both;
    B.    Sound amplifying equipment may be operated only between the hours of seven a.m. and eight p.m. each day except Sundays and legal holidays. Sound amplifying equipment may not be operated for commercial purposes on Sundays or legal holidays. Sound amplifying equipment may be operated for noncommercial purposes on Sundays and legal holidays only between the hours of ten a.m. and six p.m.
    C.    No sound emanating from sound amplifying equipment may exceed fifteen dbA above the ambient noise level at any property line.
    D.    Notwithstanding subsection C of this section, sound amplifying equipment may not be operated within two hundred feet of a church, school, hospital or city or county building.
    E.    In any event, the volume of sound shall be so controlled that it is not unreasonably loud, raucous, jarring, disturbing, or a nuisance to reasonable persons of normal sensitivity within the area of audibility. (Prior code § 13A-11)
