Chapter 8.24 GARBAGE COLLECTION AND RECYCLING
Section 8.24.045 Unlawful use of receptacles.
A. It is unlawful for any person to
dump or place any material into, or to utilize, any garbage
or refuse receptacle, bin or dumpster without the express consent of the owner or lessee of the
receptacle, bin or dumpster or unless a notice has been placed on the garbage or refuse
receptacle, bin or dumpster denoting that it is for the use of the public.
B. It is unlawful for any person,
without the consent of the owner or lessee of the receptacle,
to enter into a garbage or refuse receptacle, whether or not a notice has been placed on such
receptacle, for the purpose of salvaging refuse or garbage therein or for the purpose of utilizing
the receptacle to rest or sleep therein. (Ord. 599 § 1, 2002)
