Section 6.16.170 Violations--Penalties.

    A.    First violation. Any initial violation of this chapter by a person shall be an infraction as defined in Section 19C of the California Penal Code and shall be subject to fine not to exceed the amounts specified in Section 36900(b) of the California Government Code.
    B.    Second and subsequent violations. Any second and subsequent violation of this chapter shall be a deemed a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars, imprisonment in the county jail for a term not to exceed six months, or both such fine and imprisonment.
