Chapter 2.32 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
Section 2.32.090 Duties and functions.
The powers and functions of the parks and recreation commission
shall be as follows:
A. To hold meetings on matters pertaining
to planning and development of parks, cultural
activities, historical resources, recreation and capital expenditures related to community park and
recreation activities and facilities;
B. To conduct such other meetings
as are necessary and in accordance with its own rules and
regulations;
C. To report its decisions and recommendations
in writing to the city council and director of
public works;
D. To consider, formulate and propose
programs, activities, resources, plans and
development designed to provide for the future growth and development of the community parks
and recreation system;
E. To make studies and reports for
future acquisition of park and recreational sites;
F. To make any and all recommendations
to the city council and director of public works
relating to the above matters, including the extension or reduction of the parks, recreation system
and community activities to all areas of the city;
G. To approve plans for the development
of parks and programs for recreation within the
budgeted funds adopted by city council. (Ord. 565 § 1 (part), 1998)
