With appointments, due consideration should be given to having wide range of interests on the commission, such as, but not limited to, forestry, arboriculture, landscaping, recreation, sports, etc. All members serve at the pleasure of the city council. Any member may be removed by majority vote of the city council. If a vacancy occurs other than by expiration of term, it shall be filled in the same manner as an initial appointment for the unexpired portion of the term. (Ord. 565 § 1 (part), 1998)
