Section 12.24.090 Naming private roads.

    A.    A private road may be officially named by the city after a petition is submitted to the coordinator showing the location, proposed new street name and signatures of sixty percent of the property owners whose property is serviced by the private street proposed to be affected.
    B.    The name will be studied to assure it does not duplicate or sound like any existing street name in the city and/or county. If the street name does not conflict with any existing street name, the name will be recommended to the city council. Upon approval by the city council, thereafter such street shall be officially known by the name so designated. (Ord. 459 § 51 (part), 1991: prior code § 21A-1.090)
