Whenever in this title any act is prohibited, or is made or declared to be unlawful, or an offense, or the doing of any act or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, the violation thereof shall be an infraction as defined in Section 19C of the California Penal Code. The punishment for a violation shall be a fine not to exceed the amounts specified by Government Code Section 36900 as then in effect. Every day any violation of any provision of this title continues constitutes a separate offense.  (Ord. 486 § 4 (part), 1992:  prior code § 13-20)
