Job Opportunity Announcement: Seasonal Firefighter
The Nevada County Consolidated Fire District and The Grass Valley Fire Department are developing a joint list for Seasonal Firefighter.

Filing Date:
All qualified personnel must submit a letter of interest, a current resume, including a current DMV driving record, a new application listing completed classes and qualifications, to the Human Resources Department of the Nevada County Consolidated Fire District 11329 McCourtney Road, Grass Valley, CA 95949, by 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 27, 2008.

Interview/Work Capacity Test Date:
An Oral Interview will be conducted on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 0800 hours at Station 84, 10135 Coyote Street, Nevada City, CA 95959. A Work Capacity Test, meeting the arduous standards as set by USDA Forest Service will be scheduled for 1400 and 1500 hours at the Nevada County Fair Grounds. Please bring work-out type clothing including athletic shoes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
Completion of the 12th grade or GED equivalent.
California Firefighter 1 certificate,
or completed accredited Fire Academy.
Basic 32 hour Wildland certificate.
Current EMT 1 certificate.
Must posses a class C driver’s license
Desirable Qualifications:
Previous experience in the Fire Service.
