CURRENT RATES:
Residential Customers:

The average single-family domestic customer with a 5/8-inch meter will have a base fee of $23.50 every month.  Water usage will be billed at a residential rate of $3.39 per thousand gallons.  Water service is billed every two months after service is provided. 

All Other Customers:

All other customer classes (including commercial, industrial and governmental) using City of Grass Valley water are billed at $4.05 per thousand gallons.
However, in these customer classes the base fee varies, depending on the size of the meter.  Below is a list of the base fees for different sizes of meters.  These charges are effective January 1, 2011.

8”            $1,880.00    

SEWER RATES:

Residential Customers:

Residential customers are billed for sewer on a residential flat rate per living unit.  For a single-family dwelling the monthly rate is $51.00. For a multi-family dwelling the rate is $40.05 and a mobile home park the rate is $29.36.   These charges are effective January 1, 2010.

All Other Customers:

All other customers are billed for sewer at a base rate plus a quantity rate.  The quantity rates are based on 1,000 gallons of water use.   For a complete schedule of the base & quantity rates please see the fee schedule.

Sewer accounts that are billed with City water service are billed two months after the service is received.  Sewer only accounts that are not based on water usage are billed in advance of receiving the service.
