The Engineering Department provides support to the Community Development Department and City Planners regarding proposed developments and subdivisions within the City Sphere of Influence; in addition, the engineering staff is responsible for plan checking development plans (for site improvements and public improvements), maps, easment and right-of-way documents, and for processing applications for Grading Permits, Encroachment Permits, and Parcel Mergers.
