The City Attorney is the City's Chief Legal Officer and as such is the legal representative of the City and advisor to the City Council, Boards and Commissions, City Administrator and all City Departments.  The attorney provides general counsel to the Grass Valley Redevelopment Agency and the Capital Improvements Authority. The City Attorney position is a part-time executive position appointed by the City Council.
