D.        INTRODUCTIONS AND PRESENTATIONS

 

  1. Presentation of Certificate of Appreciation to the Nevada County Contractors Association for its assistance in the landscaping of the City lot at the corner of Richardson and East Main Streets.

RECOMMENDATION: Informational only, no action required.

 

     2. Proclamation Honoring the Nevada County 27th Annual Food and Toy Run

RECOMMENDATION: Mayor to present the Proclamation to representative for the Food and Toy Run

     2-b. "Mayor's Award" - In order to keep this a surprise, the individual receiving this award will be announced when the award is presented.

RECOMMENDATION: Mayor Levine to present award.

 

E.        PUBLIC COMMENT – There is a time limitation of three minutes per person.  For any items that are not on the agenda and within the jurisdiction or interest of the City, please come to the podium at this time and speak into the microphone.  If you wish to speak regarding a scheduled agenda item, please come to the podium when the item number and subject matter are announced and speak into the microphone. When recognized, please begin by providing your name and address for the record (optional).  Anyone wishing to submit written information at the meeting needs to furnish   ten (10) copies to the City Clerk in advance to allow for distribution to City Council, staff and the media.

 

F.         CONSENT ITEMS – All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are to be considered routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed.  There will be no separate discussion of these items unless, before the City Council votes on the motion to adopt, members of the Council, staff or the public request specific items to be removed from the Consent Calendar for separate discussion and action (roll call vote).

 

     3.  Approval of the Action Minutes of the Special Closed Session and Regular City Council Meeting of November 13, 2018

 RECOMMENDATION: Approve minutes as submitted.

 

      4.  Local Emergency Proclamation

RECOMMENDATION: Continuance of proclamation declaring a Local State of Emergency due to extreme weather.

 

      5. Firefighter Appointment

RECOMMENDATION: That Council 1) Approve the Fire Chief to appoint a firefighter in preparation for retirement and promotions.

 

       6. Declaration of Surplus and Disposition of 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe

RECOMMENDATION: Approve Attached Resolution (2018-77) Declaring 2005 Chevy Tahoe as Surplus and Authorizing Disposition of Said Vehicle.
