The Planning Commission welcomes you to its meetings, which are regularly scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. Your interest is encouraged and appreciated. This meeting is being videotaped and is scheduled for rebroadcast on NCTV Channel 17. Please consult NCTV program listings as to the schedule of future broadcasts at www.nevadacountytv.org. This meeting is being broadcast on the internet at www.cityofgrassvalley.com (click on the upper right had button “Video City Council Meetings” and follow instructions. This meeting is also being recorded on audio tape. The location of this meeting is wheelchair accessible and listening devices are available. Other special accommodations may be made upon request to the City Clerk 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Please turn off all cell phones or similar devices. 7.0 CONSENT ITEMS - (roll call vote) All matters listed under the consent calendar are to be considered routine by the Planning Commission and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless, before Planning Commission votes on the motion to adopt, members of the Commission, staff or the public request specific items be removed from the consent calendar for separate action.

8.1 Tentative Map Application (10PLN-30) for Walter and Jeanette White to create two parcels located at 690 Whiting Street (APN 29-280-12) in the C-3 (Heavy Commercial) Zoning District. Environmental Determination: Categorically Exempt View Staff Report

8.2 Use Permit Application (10PLN-27) for Cindy Maple of the Foothill House of Hospitality to operate an emergency homeless shelter within an existing building at 964 Golden Gate Terrace (APN 09-540-31) in the M-1 (Light Industrial) Zoning District. 8.3 An ordinance considering whether and how to regulate placement and location of Medical Marijuana Cooperatives and Collectives as initiated by the City of Grass Valley and serving to amend certain City Codes (10PLN-33). The options could range from strict regulation on such uses to a ban on such uses. The standards established through this ordinance would apply to any site, facility, location, entity, cooperative or collective in the City that distributes, dispenses, stores, sells, exchanges, processes, delivers, gives away, or cultivates marijuana for medical purposes to qualified patients, health care providers, patients’ primary caregivers, or physicians, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 11362.5, 11362.7-11362.83. 8.4 Historic Design Review Guidelines governing the boundaries of the 1872 Townsite. The Guidelines are intended to provide design professionals, property owners, residents and the City on how to appropriately restore or rehabilitate a historic structure. The 1872 Townsite comprises 370 acres within the center of our community that contain approximately 1,165 lots and 1,928 buildings.
